Radiant Worship Procedures and Expectations
Worship Team Leaders
Jordan Viehe - Creative Pastor Samantha Matlack - Worship Coordinator
Rehearsals- Two rehearsals each week- Wednesday nights from 6pm to 7pm, and Sunday mornings before service at 8am. The worship team members who commit to serving on Sunday mornings when they are scheduled are also committing to the Wednesday night rehearsals. Production team members are not required to attend the Wednesday night rehearsals. (Food/ snacks will be provided on Wednesday nights!)
Onboarding
Team members will need to download the following apps:
Services: Planning Center Online (PCO) for scheduling- you can see the set lists and team members for every week, find posted chord charts and lyrics in the description of each song, and adjust your scheduling frequency requests and block out any dates when you are unavailable to serve.
Church Center: This applies only if you are newer to Radiant and don’t already have the app- you can find groups, sign up for events, access the Radiant website, give financially, and build a profile.
Prime- Loop Community: To access tracks for personal practice time- you can go on the desktop version or use the app to create a profile. A link to join the Radiant team will be sent to your email and you’ll be able to access the click tracks used during live worship sets. For a quick start guide on using Prime, click here.
GroupMe: To communicate with the full worship & production team. You’ll be notified about changes, new songs, important updates regarding worship sets, and you’ll have access to direct messaging with anyone in the group if needed.
Expectations
Scheduling: Worship & production team members are expected to use Planning Center (Services app) in order to access scheduling. Please use this service to update availability and block out specific dates when you’re unavailable. Leaders will send out scheduling requests by Tuesday morning each week- please do your best to respond to requests by Wednesday morning so that any team members who need to be scheduled in your place have adequate preparation time. You are welcome to adjust your scheduling frequency or block out dates at any time. You are also encouraged to take breaks-- whether short term or seasonally-- as a practice of Sabbath. Please keep your availability updated in Planning Center, or contact Samantha Matlack directly if you have any scheduling requests or run into issues with Planning Center.
Leading: If you receive a request to serve, you are also committing to any rehearsals leading up to that service. The 8am Sunday morning rehearsal is REQUIRED if you are scheduled for that morning. Wednesday night rehearsals are not required, but if you are unable to attend a Wednesday rehearsal, please let Sam know, and prayerfully consider whether you can set aside adequate rehearsal time outside of Sunday morning rehearsal.
Cooperation: Team members are expected to speak kindly to one another and to remember the privilege it is to lead worship with each person they share the stage with. Worship team members are expected to show respect and patience to all production team members-- those who serve in the sound booth, broadcast office, and behind cameras-- whose behind-the-scenes work is just as necessary and valuable as any musical worship. Team members are encouraged to ask awkward questions or address personal concerns with leaders in a private context, rather than in front of the entire team. This team does not tolerate any intentional attempts to hurt or humiliate others. If the treatment of other worship or production team members becomes an ongoing issue, leaders will decide if removal- temporary or permanent- from the team is necessary or valuable. Sunday mornings can be (and often are) stressful, but we are blessed to have a team that is made up of individuals who are skilled in their crafts and eager to serve one another with their strengths. Trusting those who worship with us is incredibly important to us as fellow believers, and we are committed as a team to showing others respect. As followers of Jesus, we know this is true- we’re better together!
Worship: Those who accept the request to lead a song commit to memorizing as best they can the lyrics and song order. All team members are expected to be familiar with the song list by Wednesday night rehearsal, and confident about the role they play in each song by Sunday morning. This includes lyrics, dynamics, song order, instrumental cues, service order, and the spiritual & theological content of each song. This team does not have any requirements regarding personal worship time outside of rehearsals and services, but as those who take on the responsibility of leading our congregation in worship, we prioritize a lifestyle that not only includes the practice of worship musically, but that is centered around praising God for who he is and what he has done in all things. This discipline is important for every follower of Jesus to practice, and is critical for worship team members to prioritize in every moment. If this is an area you’d like some support and guidance in, reach out to a leader or to the whole group- we were built for relationship, support, and worshiping together!
Who do I contact if…? - Team members are responsible for communicating with leaders about conflicts, emergencies, and personal issues regarding song content, team culture, clarification of expectations, etc. If you need to communicate with a leader about scheduling, expectations, availability, or general questions about setlists and serving, please contact Samantha Matlack by text or by direct message through GroupMe. If you need to communicate with a leader regarding team culture, spiritual concerns, personal emergencies, or questions of a personal or spiritual nature, please contact Jordan Viehe

Core Values
Gathering.
This team of worshippers is committed to gathering together in true friendship as followers of Jesus for the purpose of leading our congregation in worship of him.
Stewarding.
We commit to using the gifts that we’ve been given in music to serve those around us, and to grow and learn as we exercise our talents to the best of our ability.
Abiding.
We believe we can best honor God in our service on the worship team when we allow ourselves to be held and kept by Christ, that we might draw others closer to Jesus while drawing nearer to Him ourselves.
If you agree to the above expectations, please fill out the form and we will begin the process of onboarding you!
Thank you for your commitment to the Radiant family!
